Christmas 2018

This Christmas, the boys spent Christmas with their cousins and MamiMami. They were very excited to see the Twins and did not want them out of their sight! It was a special holiday for them as they have been missing their cousins.

Instead of always trying to hitch a ride, Mr. C wanted to work on giving rides. Being the littlest one it wasn't easy having the bigger kids on his back.

The boys always love Christmas and getting dressed up in anticipation on what's to come!

To help pass the time, Dada made lots of marshmallow shooters that the boys shared with their cousins and friends in the neighborhood.

Santa C

Christmas is approaching and Mr. C is getting into the spirit by talking to every Santa Clause he can find

J, on the other hand, tried to imitate Santa's sleigh on his bed. He is sitting on the sleigh and behind him is his bag of presents to deliver to all the children.

Mr. C even got Dada into the Santa spirit by growing a white beard, putting on a Santa cap and donning some fun shades.

Fall 2018

As the Fall came and went the boys continued their adventures. They helped make the Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween. They each contributed to the final product, but the fun part is cleaning out the pumpkin.

No outing is complete without jumping! Mr. C has been getting braver the bigger he gets.

After he does his jumping its time to work on his zen! Mama has been working on getting the boys to find their inner selves.

Their inner self appears to be more related to being outside than calm inside. So, another trip to rocks was due for them to scramble on.

Swords and Shields

Since Gammy and Duce are only a couple of hours away the boys get to go and visit them quite often. They have a whole play area in the basement and with all the cardboard boxes they have plenty of material to make swords and shields. Once they have been equipped it is time to go forth and conquer ogres, warriors and dragons. Once victorious they can retire to their box fort for a well deserved respite from their quest.

First Day of School 2018

Summer is over and it's time for another school year. J is going into first grade and Mr. C is heading into Kindergarten and Dada is heading into his second year where he also gets to teach. Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's back to school we go, to learn to read, and learn to write and to get all wise and smart

Summer 2018

Once school was over for all the boys, the family headed to New York for a little vacation where the boys got to see their friends and family, go for hikes and get their picture taken.

That did not stop them from finding time to play and climb around, though.

They managed to climb on rocks, climb on trees, swim in pools, swim in Lakes, run, hike and jump. In general, it was a typical summer for boys!

And, no summer is complete without ice cream! That cool, milky deliciousness is the best part of hot weather! The boys always seem to convince Dada to take them for something sweet to eat.

The boys also did some summer camps where they played baseball, soccer and wrestled.

When Gammy and Duce moved to North Carolina the boys helped them move in, and then made their own houses out of the moving boxes. J enjoyed his bed and decided he wanted to spend the night in a box.

They also got a tent to do some camping outdoors. J was happy to spend the night with Dada in the tent, but Mama and Mr. C went back inside, even Neha would rather be in the house than in the tent.

Summer was also a time to go fishing with Duce. He got them all set up with their poles and took them out to a pond to work on their casting and skills. He had the most fun of all with getting the boys into catching the fish.

They even managed to find a way to work on their pirating skills on a trip to Myrtle Beach.

All the boys loved being in the sun, sand and crashing through the waves. To make it more fun, the boys got boogie boards to ride the waves back into shore. Dada even had to try it out!

Mr. C likes playing with his tools, so Dada had him do some work on the car. He is trying to put them to work now so that when they get older he has a well trained labor force.

End of School

Their first year of school came to an end in early June with Mr. C graduating from Pre-K and J wrapping up his first year of Kindergarten. They got so big over the year and had a lot of growth. They are getting very proud to share what they learned with writing, math and reading.

May 2018 Waterfall

The boys are in for a treat, Gammy and Duce decided to retire to North Carolina and came to look for houses in May 2018. The boys wanted to help them find a place to live, and go for a hike. As per usual, they made their way to a waterfall and got to play in it while working on their 'moves'.

Outdoor Adventures in early 2018

What is great about living in the South is that the boys can be outside all year long. Unfortunately, there is no snow, so they have to make do with rocks. Mr. C especially enjoys scrambling into trenches and climbing up out of them and jumping across the rock piles.

Even though Lexington is pretty flat, it is well located for other areas, including North Carolina. The boys took a trip to Chimney Rock and Mr. C was the fastest one up all the stairs! It is quite the view from the top and the boys spent all day running on trails, climbing up rocks and checking out the waterfall.

Mr. C even managed to find a frog. He tried to get the frog to take him for a ride, but the stubborn thing remained motionless.

On another trip J got to watch a train pass by overhead overhead and watch it go along the tracks from his vantage point. He continues to have a love for his trains and was super excited to see it up close.

He has also been working on his agility and wanted to show off his trail running skills by jumping over rocks, vaulting over stones and pushing off of trees. He is a monkey enjoying his urban playground.

To give them some added fun, Dada built them an obstacle course in the background that had a platform to jump on, a balance beam and a climbing wall. They boys thought it was great fun to work on the agility in the backyard and Neha is always happy to have company when she is outside.

Christmas 2017

For the Christmas season in 2017 the boys got to have a long adventure in Florida with MamiMami. The trip started off with several hours of driving on the highway where Dada had to avoid the traffic and losing his mind. Then, the first trip was to to the Lego Land! This is a dream come true for J and Mr. C, looking at the exhibits, going on the rides and seeing their favorite Lego characters. Mr. C even managed to hitch a ride for a while.

Once inside, the boys thought that it would be a good idea to work on fire safety and join the LegoLand Fire Fighting Force.

Christmas Day was spent with MamiMami in her place and opening presents with the family that was there. Christmas is always one of their favorite holidays and the boys love to get presents and make a mess.

No Holiday is complete without a little dress-up. At a birthday party for a cousin there was a make-up artist who turned J into Captain America. He was then seen running around the area fighting crime and saving us all from whatever evil might befall us.

Mr. C continued his new found love of nutcrackers by making friends with the tallest one he could find.

The boys then got to to Disney where they managed to find a MEC. Luckily for us, the keys were not inside, otherwise who knows what damage those two might have done!

No trip is complete without a Dinosaur, so they boys stopped at a Dinosaur park where they got to walk through a prehistoric forest, dig for dinosaur fossils and pose for pictures with a Triceratops.

Preparing for the Holidays 2017

The boys love the Holidays; writing to Santa Clause, making cookies, spending time with family and making funny faces in sleighs. On a trip to the Zoo to look at the lights, they decided to get crazy in anticipation of Christmas.

Even Neha is getting into the Christmas spirit! She is now sporting her Santa hat!

Mr. C decided that he has had enough of cracking other people up and wanted to be cracked himself. So, he made friends with a couple of nutcrackers to see how hard they bite.

Mr. C wanted to show off his style on a road trip, so he borrowed Dada's aviator glasses and is ready to fly!

As the boys are wont to do, they went for a hike through a park and met friends along the way. On this particular walk, Mr. C got to spend time with his Duce jumping rocks, climbing trees and enjoying the fall weather.
