Under Construction

Today, JT discovered Dada's tools. He had fun playing with the screwdriver, level and crow bar, but what He really liked was the drill! His Dusi said that he needed a hammer, but I think this is a step up and if he turns out to be anything like his Dada he can get in a lot of trouble with this...

JT also tuned in to his inner NASCAR driver this weekend while doing wheelies and donuts around Lowes. It was so thoughtful of them to provide this means of locomotion around the store.

He has quite a few teeth now and his Mama says he has to take care of them so Dada showed him what to do.

There, all clean!

I love water

Today, it was a balmy 90 degrees in Ithaca and what do you do in 90 degree weather? Go get wet!
Mama took JT to Stewart Park so he could dance amongst the sprinklers to cool off. He had so much fun cooling  down that he didn't want to leave. After he played in the water and got good and wet it was time to go home. However, whenever JT is having fun he doesn't want to stop and mama had to drag him kicking and screaming (seriously, no joke) to the car to come home. He will sleep well tonight after all that excitement.

5/19/13

Chronicling the life of Julian (and his soon to be Baby brother) as they explore the world and discover new things.

Last week at Stewart Part JT had a good time on the horses on the small merry-go-round. Once he got up there and figured out that yes, you actually do sit on the horses, he had a good time. He looks like a Natural up there.

After taming the wild horses he decided to climb the mountain and slide down. You can't see from the photo but the stairs are actually quite steep and he was fearless going up them. His father on the other hand was a little nervous about him going up and down, but JT just laughed at him. After some gentle prodding (and maybe a slight push) he even slid down all by himself!

This week Julian learned to drive and the value of backing up. He makes sure to check out his surroundings and make sure that no one is around. As much as he likes Kamikaze moves, it is nice to see that he pays attention when is behind the wheel!

After recovering from his stint on the race track, he decided that he wanted to go for an excursion in the bush. So, he mounted his trusted steed (AKA Dada) and off they went with his best friend, Neha, because everyone knows, excursions are not fun if Neha does not go along. Somewhere along the way, JT grew very tired (must have been from doing all work sitting behind) and he decided to take a nap while his father and dog continued to plod along...After arriving home, Julian was still very tired from all the work he was doing (hey, its hard work sitting in a backpack when someone else is carrying you!) so he went for another nap. Life is tough when you are 17 months old and you have so much to see and do. It is important to get your rest and beauty sleep so you are fresh for adventures and always looking your best.
